Design Philosophy
At Convective Web Solutions, our design philosophy is simple - we create websites with enhanced usability to provide an on-line environment that is both visually appealing and maintains the integrity consistent with our client's ideals.
How We Began
Convective Web Solutions was started in 1999 by Darren Prager, in an effort to pursue a secondary career in free-lance web design and bring affordable on-line solutions to corporate, small business, and personal clients. With a background in atmospheric and oceanic sciences, Darren originally started as a meteorologist forecasting for commodity traders in the energy and agriculture industry while learning web design in his spare time.
With development across the world wide web exploding in the late 90s, Darren became more interested in applying this valuable technology to transmit weather forecast information and began to produce several on-line display tools. This venture later evolved into a new position as webmaster and the development of a new corporate website for Earth Satellite Corporation. As word of mouth spread and demand continued to increase, he found himself creating websites for friends, family and various small business owners.
As the name suggests, "Convective" is a scientific/meteorological term describing the transfer of heat within a gas or liquid, however this is only half the word's meaning. Convective also represents the act or process of conveying, coupled with the Latin root "convehere," which means to bring together. This is exactly what we do at Convective Web Solutions - bringing ideas and content together online to convey a favorable image of your business through the development of an effective and appealing website. |
